Pet Friendly Hotels in Cedar City, Utah

I have compiled a list of some pet friendly hotels in the Cedar City, Utah area.  Many people who visit for the Shakespearean Festival, Neil Simon Festival or one of our MANY festivals, need a place to stay that will allow them to bring their "babies".
Most of the hotels do not want you to leave your pet unattended in your room so give us a call and we will care for your baby when you are attending the play or event.
We offer doggy day care and boarding in a KENNEL FREE, country, home environment so your dog needs to be house trained and friendly with other pets.

A Taste of Hawaii

If you haven't tried "A Taste of Hawaii" restaurant in downtown Cedar City, you are missing out.
This little gem of a place is located at 64 North Main Street in Cedar City.
We went with a group and all ordered something different so we could each taste a little bit of everything ... and everything was delicious.  The service was wonderful and the people very friendly,
Give them a try, your tastebuds will love it.

Cedar City Farmer's Market - Wednesday, July 20, 2011

There is something about a Farmer's Market!
As well as supporting the local community and economy, the thought of the produce you are purchasing having most likely been picked that morning or perhaps the day before, ripe from the vine, makes it more flavorful.
Think about supporting your local businesses and buy locally grown and produced foods.
Downtown Farmers Market
every Weds. 4pm-7pm
Behind the Pastry Pub Center & Main
until Oct 5 Check it out.

A Sign From D&B's Dog House

As well as our pet sitting and boarding business, Bruce is an artist (the "B" of D&B's) and he makes custom signs as well as various other projects.
This is one of his latest works commissioned by a military family.  A flag was brought back from Iraq and the family wanted to honor their mother, who has multiple children stationed in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
You can see more of Bruce's work at: www.BruceMGil.us
If there is any type of custom signs, carving, photography or other work that you would like done, please contact Bruce at 435-865-7347.

All About Blinds

We had a misshap here at the house with one of the boarding dogs.  We were told that she experiences separation anxiety whenever they leave.  She's been here a couple times before and we've never had an issue...but then again, someone is always around the house so the dogs are not left unattended.  We were around the house but both Bruce and I walked out the front door together and the dog could not see us in the driveway.  Katrina was in her room but apparently the dog didn't know that.

Sonny Boy's Barbeque - Delicious

Bruce and I went to Sonny Boy's Barbeque Ribbon Cutting yesterday and had lunch.  We found the food delicious and the staff great.  Everything we tried was delicious, from the pulled pork sandwich to the beans, fried cauliflower, and Bruce's absolute favorite, the hush puppies.
If you want a delicious barbequed meal...you have got to try them.  I know we'll be back!  They are located in front of Lin's (well actually in front of the Dollar Store) on Main Street.  They will also pull their barbeque to your place and do events.  Mmmmm

Shop Local...Cedar City

As a small business and residents of Cedar City, we really promote shopping local.  We may not be able to do anything on a national level for our economy but shopping local can really help our economy locally.  It always breaks my heart to see start-up businesses come and go because their local community isn't supporting them.
The next time you buy pet food or pet supplies, try shopping at one of our local small businesses instead of heading down to big corporate Petco in St.
