I was contacted about this dog.

He is a neutered male Malamute, about 9 months old (not too huge) with a very sweet disposition and beautiful ice blue eyes. He needs a home with someone who has a lot of outdoor energy.

He is need of a loving home where someone will give him training and lots of attention and exercise.

Call Andrew at: 435-275-5061

***Gail Workman offers Obedience Training Every Wednesday night at Canyon Park East and he would be an excellent candidate.

Best Friend's "Back In Black" Adoption Promotion

Best Friend's is having an adoption promotion that they are calling "Back In Black" to promote all the black animals that are overlooked in the shelters and rescues.  Now thru September 17th, 2011 you can adopt a black dog or cat for 50% off the regular adoption fee.

The promotion is to encourage people to give black pets a second look.  They all have their own unique personalities personalities but are overlooked just because they are black.

Best Friend's alone has over 150 black dogs and cats up for adoption and there are over 70 different rescue organizations and shelters that are participating in this program.

A Plea from Heavenly Buddies, Inc.

The following is a plea made by Heavenly Buddies, Inc.
Web:www.heavenlybuddies.org

Hi everyone!
Our friend Marie will be moving from Havasu to California and then out of the country at the end of this month.  She has graciously saved Aussie Girl from euthanasia and has worked with her steadily for a year.  She has also been searching for a home for Aussie Girl for almost as long.
Marie couldn't turn Buttercup away when she showed up at her door.  Buttercup, being part Shar Pei, has allergies.

HELP! Iron County Shelters are FULL

There will be an animal adoption at Cedar Animal Rescue (C.A.R.), 3854 West 425 North, Cedar City starting at 10AM and going until 4PM on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

This is an effort by all the shelters due to the shelters being full.  There will be lots of dogs, puppies, kittens and cats available.

C.A.R. is located right off of Hwy 56 on the right side of the highway if you are heading east.  You can see it from the highway.

They are also having a garage sale to benefit the animals and this is the last weekend for the pet food drive as well.

Iron County Animal Adoption on Sat. May 14, 2011

Iron County Animal Shelter is having a pet adoption at the Walmart in Cedar City from 9AM to 2PM on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

They will also have a Pet Food Drive box available if you would care to donate to the shelters of Iron County.

****The shelter is in need of volunteers to help them out.  If you can't adopt, perhaps you can volunteer to help.  Please call the shelter directly for information.

This is DUKE.  He is one of the many dogs available for adoption.

Featured Adoptable Pet

This is Gracie.  She would make a wonderful companion.

Gracie is a sweet older girl with a big heart. I'm not sure how old she is but she's got all that cute gray on her face so I know she's not a pup...we are estimating around 7. She is so gentle and loving and a bit shy when you first meet her but she warms right up when she knows she can trust you. She is compeletly house trained...she won't even go in her kennel! She is currently in a foster home and has not had one accident. I don't know who could have let this great girl go!

Cedar Animal Rescue Has Puppies

I spoke to Bitsy McClain at Cedar Animal Rescue yesterday and she told me that she has pug puppies and border collie pups that are looking for forever homes.

Bitsy also has a "full house" and has many other wonderful animals for adoption.  Please look on our "SPAY NEUTER ADOPT" page to see many of the animals that are available.  It's really hard for her to keep up on all the pictures to be posted so if you visit Cedar Animal Rescue, you will find are large variety.

Cedar City Pet Adoption at IFA on April 30, 2011

The Iron County Animal Shelter is holding the Pet Adoption in the parking lot.  If you have any questions, you can contact them at 435-238-7675.

****The shelter is in need of volunteers to help them out.  If you can't adopt, perhaps you can volunteer to help.  Please call the shelter directly for information.
