Discounted Dog Training in Cedar City

Gail Workman will be offering discounted dog training through the non-profit group, Friends of Festival Country K9s beginning January 2015.

The classes will begin with a free dog training seminar on January 14, 2015 at Gateway Preparatory Academy in Enoch.  Gail has been offering these free dog training seminars throughout Iron County since she became the Director of Education for the group in 2012.

Gail has over 30 years of experience training dogs in a variety of expertise including, obedience, tracking, flyball, agility and hunting.  She actively shows in all these areas of expertise and has many titles to show for it.  Gail received the very distinguished AKC Sportsmanship Award in 2014.

The free seminar begins at 5PM  at Gateway Preparatory Academy gym at 201 Thoroughbred Way, in Enoch.  The seminar is without dogs.  She will be available for questions and answers and will be offering information on various different training techniques and tools.

Registration in the classes for the following 6 weeks  is $80, if anyone chooses to participate.  Classes are held every Wednesday at the same location beginning January 21st.  A Puppy Class (3 to 6 months) will be held at 5PM and Beginning Obedience at 6PM.

The classes encompass basics to help your dog become a Canine Good Citizen which can earn you and your dog the CGC title.  Gail offers testing periodically throughout the year to earn this title.

Friends of Festival Country K-9s includes a one year membership into their group and offers members the ability to retake the classes free of charge while they are current members with the same handler/same dog.  An additional handler  and/or dog, within the same family,  is just $50 with the same benefits.
