North American Flyball Association Tournament in Cedar City

NAFA or the North American Flyball Association is coming to Cedar City for a flyball tournament.

What is flyball?  Flyball is a dog sport  in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball.

The Iron Dog Flyers
and Flying Colors Flyball Teams are co-hosting a NAFA tournament in Cedar City, Utah on May 18th and 19th with the support of the Friends of Festival Country K-9s.

It will be Cedar City’s first tournament and will have lots of support and excitement from Cedar City. Regular and Open Classes will be on each day with Vets on Sat and Multi-breed on Sun.

This event  will have two adjoining locations that will be used for this event. The first and largest area where the flyball tournament will be held is at Cedar Middle School. Their address is 2215 W. Royal Hunte Drive, Cedar City,Utah 84720.

The adjoining property that has been rented as well is called Park Discovery.  It has restrooms, a pavilion with picnic tables, lights, electricity, & water.

Their will be vendors in this area so as not to distract the participants in the tournament. The address to that is 2077 W. Royal Hunte, Drive, Cedar City, Utah 84720. The combined locations cover a large area and gives access to a nice walking trail.

The Aquatic Center is directly across the street for those wanting to swim.

Cedar Middle School is allowing RVs to park in their parking lot and stay overnight should they choose.  If anyone would like to stay here, please contact Diane Gil at 435-865-7347 to reserve your spot.

Otherwise, there are two campgrounds located in Cedar City.  These locations are:
KOA - 1121 N. Main Street, Cedar City  435-586-9872   or
